Construction has officially started for Fujitsu General Australia’s new HQ, which will be located in Eastern Creek in Sydney’s west. The new HQ will abide by a 5-star Green Star energy standard, and will boost growth in neighboring businesses and create new job opportunities.
The building will take up 11,093 sqm. It will not only be the new home to Fujitsu General Australia’s head office and Fujitsu General Assist, but will also accomodate a 8,500 sqm warehouse. The brand new building will drive operational and distribution efficiency across the Fujitsu General network in Australia.
Fujitsu General signed a ten-year lease with Jacfin Pty Ltd and entrusted Vaughan Constructions to finish the multi-million-dollar project.
Philip Perham, Fujitsu’s General managing director said, “I am very excited to announce that construction of the new Fujitsu General headquarters has begun at Eastern Creek.
“The development will provide space and resource for Fujitsu General’s continued growth in the air conditioning market. The new office design will include a Fujitsu General showroom, on-site gymnasium, auditorium and outside green areas, which will encourage innovation, development and strengthen our ‘people first’ culture.”
According to Vaughan Constructions managing director Andrew Noble, “This pivotal piece of infrastructure, will not only support the operational needs of Fujitsu General, but provides a superior work environment with exceptional staff facilities.”
The design concept was spearheaded by ODCM, with input from Fujitsu General and Vaughan Constructions. The new Fujitsu HQ is projected to be complete in December 2018.
