Scotland Build returned to the SECC on November 23rd and 24th to be welcomed by thousands of construction industry professionals looking to do business and boost the sector across the board.
Across the two days over 120 exhibitors successfully promoted their brands, products and services, securing a number of strong leads to enhance their position in the Scottish construction industry. They also had the opportunity to meet with over 200 senior buyers from a mix of contractors, developers, architects and local authorities at the “Meet the Buyer VIP Luncheon”.
Fraser Purdie from Kingspan Insulation said “This was our second year exhibiting at Scotland Build and we have already booked up for 2017. The footfall has increased dramatically from 2015 and the broad spectrum of attendees from various sectors was evident. The Meet the Buyers format over lunch was relaxed, informal and very beneficial. Looking forward to next year’s show!”
The event also saw over 60 speakers covering a range of topics, including: tackling the housing crisis; managing the skills gap; upcoming major transport developments; improving productivity and many more, as well as specialist summits for digital construction and sustainability.
Attendees were able to benefit from up to 22 hours of CPD accredited workshops, featuring presentations on BIM, marketing, sustainability, digital construction and skills development.
“Scotland Build was a brilliant conference with just the right mix of academics, contractors, suppliers and designers. The panel sessions relating to sustainability were really inspiring providing a very balanced insight into sustainability in the construction sector across Scotland.” – Sarah Jane Stewart BEng (Hons) MArch CEng MCIBSE – Head of Sustainability, North Region, Atkins.
